Ok, so I have been on Weight Watchers for 2 weeks now and I started at 158.6 lbs. with the goal of getting to 140. In these last two weeks I have lost 9.4 lbs.! According to Weight Watchers, I am actually losing weight too quickly, but, I have been eating my points every day and using some of my weekly splurge points, too. So, this week, I am going to try changing up what I eat and trying some higher protein, higher good fat foods to see if that slows down my weight loss. Although, I have to say, if I could hit my weight goal in two weeks, that would be pretty cool. But, apparently there are all sorts of health risks to that, so I will try and spread my weight loss out a bit!
This whole rethinking what and how I eat has got me thinking about other things as well. Today, I needed to go to Hobby Lobby to get a refill for my sticker maker and instead of driving, I plopped David into his stroller and we walked! Not only did we get some exercise, but we also saved a little tiny bit of the environment and some gas money! The weight loss has really helped my self esteem, too, which is maybe the best benefit for me. When I can feel good about myself and the things that I am doing, I approach the rest of my life with a more positive and productive attitude. Feeling this good today has helped keep my mind off the fact that in just a few days I have to go back to work and spend each day missing David. But, on the positive side, I will get to come home to his beautiful smile and an "awwwwww" every afternoon!
