I love a productive afternoon!

As much as I wish I wasn't preparing for this upcoming school year (wishing I could just stay home with David!), there is much less to do now that I am back at my old school with all of my old students.  This smaller amount of work makes me more motivated to get ready to teach again.  David went down for a nap about 2 hours ago and I have done my first month of PWIM plans, gotten my calendar for opening time all put together and that curriculum written up, and I have written up my modified version of The Daily Five.  So, all I have left to do before the school year starts is to go through my math curriculum and see if I want to change it at all from last year and get my IEP progress monitoring binder put together!  I got so much done today and I feel really good about it!  Of course, once I go back to work and find out the lunch, music, art, and PE schedules, I will have to figure out how to fit all of these fabulous lessons into each day!  That always takes some finagling, but I actually enjoy trying to put schedules together!  Now, bring on the students!
