Two Weeks (and one day) Old

My sweet little boy is now two weeks old. I hate to take my eyes off of him because he is so beautiful to look at and he does new things every day! Here is a brief recap of the last week.

* We took our first long car ride home to Iowa. David slept the whole way with the exception of when we stopped to feed him.

* David got to meet his uncles, his great grandparents, and lots of our friends. I especially enjoyed seeing our brothers with David. My brother had never held a baby before and just had this look of wonder and awe on his face! Dan's brother just lay David on his chest and the two of them went to sleep! It was precious!

* We discovered that tomatoes or anything with tomato stuff in it (like pizza) gives David heartburn when it passes through my breast milk. But, Daddy has a magic touch and can make David's tummy feel better quickly!

* We took David out in public for the first time this week too. He went to church with us today. He did his usual and just slept through everything! We took him up with us for communion and the pastor said a little blessing over him and it made me cry. It was so nice!

* He is staying awake more than he was last week and he just looks all over the place. He is starting to focus on things and really look. I love just gazing into his eyes as he looks back at me!

I just can't get over how blessed we are to have David in our lives! He is so perfect and we fall more in love with him every day!
