Disheartened

Today I feel disheartened. We had our 39 week doctor's appointment and it was confirmed that Baby D is quite happy where he is.....inside my tummy! I have had one....that's it.....one real contraction, which isn't enough to cause dilation and effacement. And, though Baby D has been head down since 32 weeks, his head is still pretty high up in my pelvis. While my due date is still 4 days away, I wish that I was making some kind of noticeable progress towards giving birth. It is frustrating to be overanalyzing every twinge and movement I feel in my belly and hope it is a contraction. But, one of these times it will be a contraction, followed by another contraction, and another, and another, and finally, I will get to meet my baby boy!
