Busy week and a rewarding weekend!

This last week has been very busy as we have been in tech week for Madison Opera's production of "Carmen." The show opened on Friday to a sold-out house (the first sold out performance I've been a part of since moving to Madison)! The performance was a smash success and got great reviews - although none of the reviews mentioned the chorus.....probably because we were so good they just couldn't come up with words to describe our talent! My mom came up for the show and we spent all day today hanging out. We sat on the couch and just talked and caught up for almost 3 hours this morning, had a great lunch, did some grocery shopping and made Scotcheroos together! I haven't actually gotten to sit down and spend quality time with my mom is ages and it totally made my weekend! I can't wait until Thanksgiving when I can catch up with my dad too! Tonight, I get to spend an evening with Dan, which hasn't happened in a long time with all of our evening rehearsals! We will make a nice dinner and get caught up on Grey's Anatomy! Tomorrow, we close "Carmen" probably to another sold out house! All in all, this has been a fabulous weekend!
