The Madison Opera production of Madama Butterfly closed this afternoon. I felt really good about both performances and we got some really nice reviews. Dan and my brother came to the show this afternoon and I was anxious to get their opinions. Dan has been attending operas since he was 7 years old and my brother has only been to one other opera - their verdict: an excellent performance! I had such a great time with this show and I made some great friends! Now, I have a week off and then start rehearsals for Candide! I'm glad I love to sing!
On another note, it has been really nice having my brother here for the weekend! We have just been hanging out, catching up, watching movies and eating good food! I'm glad I will get to spend more time with him later this week for Thanksgiving!
I am so excited for the 4 day weekend; I really need a break! As we were driving home from the opera this evening, I was wishing I had taken the whole week off because I am exhausted! Hopefully, Wednesday afternoon will come quickly and I will be off to eat good food, hang out with family, relax and just enjoy a few days off!
