Well, it has been a while since I've had a really bad day. So, I suppose I was due and today was, as Alexander would call it, a "terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day!" I had an extremely rough day with my students today. One of them became extremely physically aggressive, one of my best students decided not to come in from recess, I had a substitute associate, I didn't get my planning or lunch period, etc... I drive home from work fighting off tears only to walk into the house to see a speeding ticket from one of those cameras downtown. Now, admittedly, I deserved the ticket; but that was the straw that broke the camel's back. I went upstairs and fell into my pillow and had myself a good cry. Let me tell you, I needed that cry and felt much better once my tears dried up. Dan and David came in and snuggled with me for a while and then I went downstairs, made myself a cup of tea, called my mom and was able to enjoy the rest of my evening. So, I wrapped up the night watching Dan (and David) put together our new kitchen chairs and Dan and I are getting ready to watch an episode of Deep Space Nine on Netflix. I am so glad I was able to end today on a more positive note and I am so thankful for the love and support of my family!
