SCARY!!!!

Dan and I took David on a walk last night and had a bit of a fright.

We saw an Ice Cream Van (you know, like the sweet little ice cream trucks from the 50s, only super creepy) in our neighborhood. Silly children's music playing over the speakers, technicolor paint job, and I'm pretty sure this man must have been driving.

In case you didn't know, this man is the child catcher from the fabulous family flick Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. He kidnaps children under the guise of an ice cream man. He lures the children into his ice cream truck, the colorful sides drop away to reveal the children have actually walked into a cage, and then he drives them to the castle of Baron and Baroness Bomburst, where they are thrown into a dungeon!

I had visions in my head of all of the neighborhood kids being kidnapped by whomever drives this creepy van. Seriously, with all of the sexual preditors and weirdos out there, who thinks an ice cream truck (or van) is a good idea anymore. Especially when I have only ever heard this particular van in our neighborhood one other time...
