It's My Party.....

Sigh.........what a nice weekend! As usual, I wish this weekend was about 2 days longer, but I have been enjoying it so far! I drove home to Iowa after work on Friday and swung by Cedar Falls to pick up my brother. My birthday (24th) is tomorrow and my brother's (21st!!!!) is in two weeks, so we went home to celebrate with family! Our parents took us out for an amazing lunch, where I had some delicious Asian Salmon and Shrimp, then for dinner our grandparents came over for pizza and "Wacky Cake!" No birthday is complete without "Wacky Cake!" I got a set of new tires for my car (an excellent present to me and my bank account!), as well as a dust buster so I can easily vacuum up cat hair! I know those sound like silly presents, but some of my favorite gifts have been the necessities! My grandpa's friend gave John and I 3 scratch game lotto tickets and one ticket for the Power Ball 94 million dollar jackpot........the jackpot was a bust, but John won $6, so he treated me to a coffee before we got on the road to head home this morning! Now, I am celebrating my birthday with Dan.......sort of.......he is off being secretive about my present! Happy Birthday!
