Getting Cosy with Cosi

I'm glad that most of you who read this blog understand the pun in my post title! We are entering tech week for Cosi fan Tutte and I am very excited! We had our first rehearsal in the theatre tonight and the house is beautiful - the proscenium has some beautiful carvings and there are two gorgeous globe chandeliers hanging on either side of the stage and the curtains are a lovely (and not overwhelming) shade of fuscia. The theatre is smaller and the set is very intimate and I can't wait until we have an audience to play to! Aside from being excited about the stage, I am excited to be down in the dressing room. One of my favorite parts of doing shows is getting ready for the performance. Painting my face to look like someone else and putting on beautiful costumes pull me into the character and time period! Cosi is my favorite opera and I am so excited to be a part of it!
