Post Christmas

Well, all Christmases with various parts of the family are complete: Food has been consumed, presents opened, conversation and merriment had by all! I have been really loving my vacation and only feeling a little guilty about taking so much time off work. But, then I eat a Christmas cookie and swallow that guilt!

Spending all this time with my family has been the best preset this year, but I also got some really nice things: a gorgeous new watch, a kitty figurine that was hand-carved in Tanzania, books, a beautiful necklace, season one of Grey's Anatomy and Ghost Whisperer, and money towards the new bed that Dan and I so desperately need! I am so thankful that, even with the struggling economy, my family was able to give some nice things to each other.

I am also looking forward to the annual New Years celebration with Dan's parents (the wine and champagne is always amazing!) and to spend part of that evening with some of my best friends from college! One of them is pregnant and I can't wait to see her growing belly and to catch up with everyone else!

I am so thankful for all the amazing things in my life: my husband, my family, my job.....I can only hope to continue to be this blessed in the year to come!
