An Update

Wow, I have not blogged for quite a while. So here is a brief update...
1. Holidays were great and now I am back into the swing of things at work.
2. I had some stresses because I was doing therapy with 5 kiddos and my schedule was WAY to full. So, this Wednesday, I decided to stop working with one of the kids and leave him to his other, very capable, therapists. I am really sad though because I loved working with him and he is so sweet and funny! My last day with him is next Friday and I know that will be a tough morning. I know saying goodbye will be hard! Hopefully, I can rejoin his therapy team this summer.
3. Some of my friends came to Wisconsin to visit and we had a blast! I haven't had a chance to spend much time with my college friends since we moved and I can't begin to tell you how much their friendships mean to me. I try to take advantage of any opportunity I have to spend time with them.

Those were the big things that have happened in the month since I blogged last. Dan and I have an exciting weekend that will begin in about 1 hour. We are driving 9 hours to Grand Forks, ND to perform with the Grand Forks Symphony Orchestra. Those of you who know me, I'm sure, are saying "But Melissa, you don't play in an orchestra!" To which I say "I don't!" But, the conductor of the orchestra (a family friend) has called in a favor and Dan (who is getting his masters in Percussion Perf.) and I are joining the percussion section. Dan has, of course, given me the easiest parts, but I am still nervous! This will be an adventure! I'm sure it will be fun! Until next time...
