It's the most wonderful time of the year...
And it is. I am half way through my 10 days off work and am loving the relaxation. My husband and I are home with our families and celebrating the holidays! This is our first Christmas as a married couple and we were able to split the time between his family and mine and we got to learn and participate in some new traditions...really we have mostly the same traditions (opening presents, sitting around in our pajamas, being lazy, and eating good food!) Our kittens made it through their first Christmas as well and enjoyed destroying the wrapping paper! This is such a welcome respite from the business of Madison life and we love to spend time with our families!
I have only had one opportunity to sing in Madison and this Christmas break has brought song back into my life! I got to sing several songs with the choir at my husband's home church, as well as perform a solo piece. I also get to sing two solo pieces at my home church. Having spent so much time singing these past few days has made me realize I miss singing even more than I thought. I am excited for the Madison Symphony Choir auditions in January! I love my work as a therapist, but my true passion is singing and my life has felt so full this past week with all the singing! Christmas truely is the most wonderful time of the year. 'Til next time...
