Summer Saturday

What a beautiful day! The windows are open, we went for a long walk, we were going to grill and then ran out of time (but the thought was nice)! David slept until 10:10 today, which means that I slept until 10:10 today! It was glorious! We had a fun breakfast. I tried letting David feed himself and he tried scooping his own oatmeal (he needed a little help with this part), but he held the spoon and put it in his mouth all by himself! He also spoon fed Dan and I! He is such a smart little boy! I can't believe he will be 10 months old on Tuesday! We took a nice walk around the bike paths as a family and just enjoyed each other's company as the sun shown on our faces. We hung out together in the den this afternoon with the windows open while Dan build our new entertainment unit. This one has doors so David can't pull on chords and push the buttons on the DVD player! Dan is playing his show tonight, so I have been doing class work while David naps. Not my favorite way to spend a David nap, I prefer to be snuggling with him, but this class ends in a month and I have to get all of my assignments finished! At least I am being productive while he is napping! I am looking forward to a fun evening with my little boy! I just love the weekends with my family, especially when the weather is so beautiful!
