Ides of March

I can't believe March is almost over! Time sure flies by! Again, this will just be another list of updates on my life and David's development. I'm sure I will return to blogging once a week at some point, but for now, I appreciate those of you who keep checking back to make sure I'm still around! :-)

David is crawling up a storm and exploring EVERYTHING! He is also pulling up on furniture and walking along it. He also has several new sounds. He usually picks a sound for the week and just plays around with it and says it over and over in a variety of situations. My favorite sound, so far, has been "wow." Everything was "wow" - food, games, things, crying, laughing - it was all "wow!" My favorite thing he has started to do is engaging in joint attention. He will point at things he wants to show us or pick up the object and raise it to us so we can look at it. We have several silly games we play and he knows how to initiate them. I just love getting the 'Are you ready to play, Mama?' look! He is just so amazing!

I really enjoyed staying home with David over Spring Break and playing stay-at-home mom. But, I also enjoyed a nice vacation with Dan in New York City. We chaperoned a band trip and had a blast! We missed David, but really enjoyed our time together just hanging out! But, now I am back to work and ready for the school year to be done! Two and a half more months and I will have my first official year of teaching under my belt and be almost half way through my Master's Degree. I'm looking forward to the summer and to continue watching David's amazing growth!
