Taste, Cows and a Three-Day Weekend

I wish all weekends could be like this one! Saturday came bright, clear and warm. Dan and I got up and cleaned the house before Katrina, one of my best friends, arrived. We chatted for a bit, then headed out to Taste of Madison where we enjoyed a few beers and lots of delicious food! The evening was spent playing Spinner Dominos and cards over some homemade Sangria. On Sunday, Katrina and I made our usual excursion into Madison to find the cow sculptures from the Cow Parade held in 2006. Once the Parade was finished, the cows were auctioned off and now rest in various businesses and homes throughout the state and Katrina and I hope to find all of them! Our search on Sunday was not very successful, we found two cows, but they were in the American Children's Hospital, so we felt very uncomfortable and pictures wasn't allowed. But, I think I managed to locate a couple more for her next visit! Now, it is Monday and instead of being at work, I slept in and when I got up, I brewed some coffee and have been reading a book for the last hour or so. I wish every weekend could be a three day weekend. A couple of days to hang out and do some fun things, and then one day to just sit and relax and make sure you are calm and ready for the work week ahead! Yes, I think three-day weekends should be mandatory!
