My baby is one!
I can't believe that last June 12, I woke up at 7:30 a.m. with my first contraction. I went back to sleep only to wake up an hour later with another one. By around 1, I was admitted to St. Mary's Hospital in Madison, WI dilated 4 cm. I got my epidural and my water broke at 4:15 p.m. Then the epidural quit working, so the lovely anesthesiologist gave me a spinal block. My labor slowed, so they added some Petocin to my IV. My parents and Dan's mom arrived around 7 and by 8:40, David had come into the world!
This last year has been amazing! He has 11 teeth and a handful of words. He always chooses blue toys first, has the perfect sound effect for pushing his truck around, is so close to walking, loves to read (mostly Mr. Brown Can Moo, Pat the Bunny, and Dr. Seuss' ABC), he loves blueberries, music, dancing, and watching Dan play his marimba, he knows what a fish and snake say, and he continues to amaze us every day!
We have be so richly blessed with David this last year and I can't wait to see how he grows this next year!
