With a baby on the way and all of the extra financial responsibility that comes with, Dan and I have been exploring our options. While my favorite idea is just staying home with the baby, that causes a large loss of income and a loss of insurance, which is unacceptable and sends that idea right out the window!
So, if I have to work, what would my ideal situation be? A typical 8-4 job with summers free and good insurance -- sounds like a teaching job -- good thing I have a teaching license!
If I have to work, who will take care of the baby? With Dan freelancing, daycare isn't really an option because we don't have the income to support it. Dan can stay home with the baby!
But what about Dan's freelancing - teaching lessons and drumlines and playing in all sorts of ensembles - who will take care of the baby then? Grandparents!
But we live in Wisconsin and the grandparents live in Iowa...how will that work? I get a teaching job in central Iowa!
Resumes updated, cover letters written, and central Iowa school websites bookmarked! Let the IDEAL OPTION search begin!
*That is not to say that I wouldn't miss all of the fabulous things I have gotten to do since moving to Wisconsin!*
