Quickening

Quickening - verb - the initial motion of the fetus in the uterus as it is perceived or felt by the pregnant woman.

I think I felt my baby move for the first time this morning! Dan's alarm went off and he got up and got into the shower. As I lay in bed dozing, I felt a new bubbling/rolling sensation in my lower abdomen. I did a quick mental check: hungry - no, gas - no, baby - oh my gosh.....I think so! The feeling lasted around 3 minutes and it felt like a tap or a bubble popping against the inside of my uterus. Some bumps were harder than others and some were barely there, but it was a very distinct feeling.....even though it was a feeling I had never felt before! I can't wait to feel it again!
